How CowBank can make you more profitable?
 

Increase your income - increase your herd size sooner to the optimal number of cows you can profitably milk. You can use a CowBank lease to increase the quality of the individual animals within your herd by buying better and more productive cows.

With our experience in the dairy industry, we are fully aware that water, crops, complementary feed and fertilizer all need careful reckoning to balance costs with milk revenue.

How the Lease works 
 

CowBank buys cows and rents them to you over a 5 year contract. The cows may already be yours, or they may be in addition to your current herd.

As an example, if we pay $ 1,500 per cow your rental is about $ 33.75 per month. At the end of the contract, you can buy the cows for 20% of their original lease value. These are guide prices, excluding GST.

You will receive all income from milk, cull cow and calf sales. CowBank requires you to grow replacement heifers (20% per annum) to enable replacement of cull cows.

All cows and heifers are to be identified with NLIS ear tags so that the CowBank cows can be easily identified each year.

CowBank 'coaching' services

We see ourselves as partners in your business, which is why we call our agreement a "Sharepartner Agreement" not a lease.  We get pleasure out of seeing you successful and the measurement we use mostly is - equity growth per day. Rarely are the conversations we have with our clients about the finance, mostly they are about the operation of their business.

We are available all day everyday by phone to discuss the issues facing you in your business, if we cannot answer the question we can tell you someone in our client base who has faced and overcome the same problem. We are also travelling each week in one direction or another.

Our service is different; we want our farmers to be part of a strong and prosperous group.

We are manager/advisors to Warakirri Dairies which operates a number of farms; this business grew out of the knowledge gained from operating the leasing business, now there is information gained in the farm management business moving back to our CowBank clients. CowBank has been operating for 10 years through a lot of change (not all positive) in our industry we can only continue provided our clients prosper.
